Fan of yours

A sidewalk-based fan repair business has repurposed the metal cages of several fans that were beyond hope of repair into their goods display and inventory solution. They allow the goods displayed in the seperate fan cages to be organized by function (one for knobs, one for switches, one for pivoting connector-joints, etc.), and also enable customers who have diagnosed their fan's problem themselves to select the parts they need from the relevant cage.

Besides holding fan components, fan bodies are also repurposed to function as bird cages - more on this bird vendor later.

Creative fan storage

At a plumbing store along the "home decoration/accessories" cluster of businesses on a downtown Yangon street.

Challenges reconciling the actual ("nobody has used this urinal as of yet, and it is therefore perfectly acceptable to store something in it that is waved at high speed in close proximity to one's face") with the instinctual ("it's a urinal").

The degree to which it is easier to do this when one is constantly surrounded by these accessories, as the owner of this shop (and that fan) is.

Merit marking

Donation norms: This fan includes the husband's name on one blade, the
wife's on the other, and their address on the third. Why the inclusion
of an address? How will this norm change over time? Email address?
Twitter handle ("don8ed fan 2day @merit")?
