The striking pattern on this flora caught my eye from amongst the many vegetable vendors crowding a downtown Yangon alleyway. Banana trunk – identified thanks to Nance – and a cruel reminder of one of the reasons why one cannot easily get authentic mohinga outside of Southeast Asia.
