If you thought there was no room for innovation in one of the key fixtures of parks and public squares across China – the (usually) older (almost always) gentleman painting calligraphy with water – China just proved you wrong, I’m afraid. While this chap conforms to the primary “water calligraphy” demographic, his tricked-out brush is far from ordinary.
Outfitted with a repurposed IV-drip unit, he cradles the water bottle wrapped in cloth under his arm and twists its modified cap that is hooked into the IV-drip to adjust the water’s flow rate.
