Consider the changes in behavior and design needed around “refueling” a vehicle when that process requires a) bringing your own means of transferring the fuel (electricity) from the source to your vehicle, and b) parking your vehicle for several hours, or at least long enough to justify leaving sight of it to do other tasks.
How long before standards converge to eliminate the need to supply your own charge cable, and whose interests does continued non-standardization serve?
Also: true to form, Amazon changes the conversation and potentially eliminates the need for a charge cable (or even to stop driving), turning every parking spot into a potential charge-point.
