I can’t recall whether before this moment I’d seen an ATM/digital interface that asked for the denominations in which I wanted my bills. Simply the act of being asked made me search my memory to try and recall the last time I’d been given a choice over which denominations of bills I preferred (which happened to have been when I asked for change in a convenience store to get quarters for a coin-operated laundry – an analogue interaction rather than a digital one). I certainly appreciated this pleasant surprise of a question in light of the reason I was withdrawing cash – namely, to make a series of small purchases at stores that may not have had adequate change to break a large bill.
Are there other “considerate” analogue interactions that you’ve found yourself wishing could somehow be digitized recently?
