A beautiful repurposing: discarded engine belt being reused as a hand-grip for the intrepid (unfortunate?) latecomers who must hang out the back of the “line cars”. For the uninitiated, a line car is a pick-up truck (usually a mid-80’s Toyota Hilux, one of the most durable vehicles on the planet) that ply a route back and forth main thoroughfares (traveling in a line, hence the name).
Bonus points if the belt pictured here came from the engine of the truck that it is now tied on to.
