Slower p(l)ace hacks

Slowing down and recharging after wrapping a project, taking a week to mostly unplug and spend a few days with relatives at a house that hasn’t doubled as an office over the past several months.

No turning off the drive to observe the interesting things that people do, though – like improvising a string and a garden statue of a frog to keep an otherwise free-floating patriotic rubber ducky pool thermometer close at hand.

Or repurposing local materials in the form of a clam shell, sheltering a bar of soap in an outdoor shower to prevent it from being dissolved in the rain.
