Blue-ish collars

When choosing out shirts used by former employees as part of a
business’ uniform, what is desirable? Is it the same criteria for
other new or used clothing, such as fabric type, quality or pattern?
Does the type of company from which the shirt comes make a difference
to a buyer (is it better to work for a construction company than, say
a garage)? Is the more labor-intensive, the better (most companies
that require a uniform that has your name on it can count on it
getting dirty)? Is it all in a name? Something approximating one’s
Thai name? Would a Thai person even recognize that Beverly is a female
name? Or care? Do the same standards of judging shirts hold constant
across cultures and continents?
